Matched scenarios: Fathom’s usage boundary

A. One site, 100,000 pageviews, zero custom events → 100,000 counted units → US$15/month.

B. The same site and traffic, plus 50,000 custom events → 150,000 counted units → 200,000 tier → US$25/month.

Arithmetic: +US$10/month, or approximately 67%, at the published monthly tier rates. Taxes excluded. This models a change in usage, not a vendor price increase.

Recommendation to test — an inference, not a measured result. Put an event-inclusive worked example beside a usage-based pricing table. Test whether buyers understand their expected tier more accurately. Do not claim this improves conversion without measuring it.

What we would resolve in a paid brief

Confirm the selected billing period, normalize the buyer’s actual workload, check equivalent feature requirements, and mark every unresolved point before making a recommendation.

  1. Fathom — official pricing and usage FAQ
  2. Simple Analytics — official pricing
  3. Plausible — official plans and feature table

What this example can tell you

The two Fathom scenarios isolate one variable: custom events. They illustrate why a comparison needs the same workload and a defined billing period. They do not establish which analytics product is best, or that plans with different features are interchangeable.

Evidence record and limits

Prepared by PackageLens from public sources checked on October 19, 2026. The linked vendor pages are the primary sources. Rates are observations from those pages, not quotes or purchasing advice. Simple Analytics displayed USD on this source check. Location and billing controls can change displayed prices. We have not converted currencies or resolved every toggle state.

This public sample covers three vendors and two scenarios for one vendor. A paid brief compares your product and up to three competitors against your agreed requirements. Taxes, negotiated contracts and unpublished discounts are outside these sample totals. Report a factual correction.
